Updated: Apr 2, 2024

Interview by AquaFeed24 in collaboration with X Treme Productions

He is PRO at the same time he embodies elegance and generosity.

Right after the game of Olympiacos VS CNAB, we left the pool to go directly to the studio.

A “studio” that looked like the “startup” of Silicon Valley, as Felipe joked about, ones we actually we were finding ourselves in the back-store place that looked like a “garage”.

That place was full of waterpolo equipment a bunch of other things related to  aquatic sports.

The guys from AquaFeed, were there waiting for us, with pizzas and drinks. While me, Felipe and Christos where trying too manage and calm our hunger. Orestis and Lefteris where making some last arrangements to the decoration and soon enough Christos took care the rest of the setting, the cameras and digital equipment.

Long story short Felipe sat across Orestis and the started to talk about waterpolo, about their visions and the way that see sports and life.

I wasn't expecting anything less from Felipe. His transparency, goodwill, generosity and professionalism were remarkable. Despite being visibly tired, having just come from a challenging game with a negative outcome for Barceloneta, he stood there passionately expressing his love for water polo and his ambition to expand its reach to the wider public.

It's always inspiring to feel the energy of these superhero athletes. They truly are superior creatures, without a doubt.

For me, it's a lesson and an example of power, humility, greatness, and resilience all rolled into one.

A big thank you to the entire team for making this beautiful interview happen.
